If your looking for someone who truly cares about her patients, I would not recommend Dr. Dao or her office. She rushes her patients through looking at a file the entire time your in with her and rarely makes eye contact. You cannot bring up any issues or problems your having in a visit that is for something else. Example, if you are there for an annual exam she will not discuss any current ailments you are having at that appointment. If you need anything that is clerical in nature such as a form filled out, she requires you to come in and make an appointment with her which insurance will not cover. If you need something done within a week do not expect to be able to get an appointment for 1-2 weeks out. It took me 8 months to get in to have a new patient appointment and it was only after 3 hospital visits during that time frame that the hospital contacted her to schedule an appointment with me post ER/hospital stay when I explained she wouldn't see me until my "new patient" appointment had been done which wasn't for several months out. She ordered me Home Health with nursing, PT, and OT and a prescription for a wheel chair at the hospital doctor's request and then argued that the hospital therapist made no request for a wheel chair when I even had documents in my hand that stated that requests. When I called to asked her office to fill out some disability doctor notes she claimed to have no diagnoses for my disabilities because those were diagnosis from another doctor which I have been with her almost a year now not to mention my hospital visits during the time I have been under her care much less that I have been disabled and diagnosed by previous doctors for nearly 6 years now. I am in a wheel chair currently receiving home physical therapy to help me be able to use a walker and OT to build a rotator cuff injury because of my continuous falls from my back disability but said all of my disability diagnosis was per patient not doctor diagnosed (totally ignoring the hospitals diagnosis and the fact she is the one who order the home health according to their conversations). My Home Health agency, therapist and other medical staff I have worked with are furious she is not helping me to get the medical equipment and help that I need according to their clinical notes. I have been waiting nearly 2 months for a prescription for a walker that both my OT and PT requested. I wish I could say she might be a good doctor for the common cold but she was no help to me when I came down with strep throat. I was running high fever and could barely breath. My home health nurse along with the nurse from my insurance company called attempting to get her to see me. The earliest was 3 days out. My strep became so severe that I ended up in the ER (by ambulance) for something she could have assisted me with. Seton's set up is nice for having everything accessible online, including communicating with the doctor (which I never receive a response to) but that is about all the kuddos I can give for this office. The staff is rude and very unhelpful as well. They treat you like a number and when you are able to get in for an appointment, they rush you through like a heard of cattle. Worst medical experience I have ever received in my 54 years. Would not recommend this doctor even to my worst enemy!

I see Carrie, the Physician’s Assistant to Dr. Dao. I am immune compromised so I need to go in regularly for various reasons. Carrie is very patient, kind, and understanding, even when I go in and it turns out nothing is wrong. She understands my reasons for being concerned. Better safe than sorry with a raging infection. I usually have no problems getting an appointment within a day or two.

I have been Dr. Dao’s patient for many years now. I am a Male patient. Didn’t feel I was under the correct set up at first as she was my first female Doctor. Dr. Dao did a great first interview & really dig deep about my health & well being. Had never been asked that many questions before when meeting a new Doctor. I really felt this was done very well. After getting my blood work back. She explained I had high cholesterol & wanted to put me on medication. I asked what I could do to not take pills. She said diet & exercise & would make another assessment on my next physical. Also explained how high cholesterol sometimes would not normalize even after that as it might be hereditary. The only problem I have now is her availablility. I have often been sent to Carrie Barlow instead since I can’t get on her schedule sometimes. They have all done a great job for me over the years. I recommend them to my friends & family all the time.

I’ve seen Dr. Dao twice. Perhaps she was more personable with me because I have a extremely rare disease that most doctors have never heard about, and if they have, they read about it once in med school. I’m the medical equivalent of a leprechaun or unicorn.
